Oxbow Animal Health® Essentials® Adult Guinea Pig Food

Food for adult guinea pigs, made of hand-selected timothy hay indispensable for digestion and healthy ingredients are added as well as essential nutrients, like Vitamin C, to help support bodily functions and daily performances.

Offer every day to guinea pigs older than 6 months, 1/8 cup of pellets as well as hay grass at will.

To transition towards a new food, proceed as described below:

Week 1: Mix 3 parts of the old food with 1 part of the new food;

Week 2: Mix 2 parts of the old food with 2 parts of the new food;

Week 3: Mix 1 part of the old food with 3 part of the new food;

Week 4 and following weeks: Feed exclusively with the adult rabbit food Oxbow Animal Health®     Essentials®.

The nutritional requirements of adult guinea pigs are lower than growing guinea pigs. Do not feed active, gestating or lactating females or growing guinea pigs this formula.

Indicated quantities are to be used only as guideline. If the animal has a excess weight or seems underweight, please consult a veterinarian. Always do a transition to introduce a new food to give time for the digestive tract to get used to the new food.
